Hello. It’s been a while. We don’t need to talk about why I’ve not blogged for a while, it’s been a bit of a wild time, hasn’t it? We all get it but before I talk about this incredible wedding, I just want to say that I hope you are all happy and healthy at the moment and all your families are too.
So, I’m glad to be back with another fantastic wedding to show you guys. Today, we have Meghan and James. Meghan is from Houston, Texas. James is a good ol’ Scots boy and together they make a pretty sweet team. I also want to congratulate them on the birth of their new baby girl earlier this year! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
They live in the US but made the decision to bring their friends over and join James’s family here in Scotland and the venue of choice was Archerfield House. One of my favourite venues in Scotland. It’s such a gorgeous place and although the wind would have cut you in 2 that day, the sun was shining and we were treated to one of those magical golden hours that all us photographers crave so much.
I cannot say enough good things about James and Meghan. The smiles on their faces show you how happy they are to be married. I loved their fun personalities and I also love that they allowed me to steal them away during their dessert to grab a quick picture in the gorgeous sunset!
I’ll remember them for so many reasons but they introduced me to the “Mexican Hug”. Like a Mexican Wave but with hugs. Starting with James and Meghan hugging, then they carried on the hug to their parents and eventually moving its way around the room until each and every person gets a hug. Now, I can’t imagine we’ll be seeing any Mexican Hugs in the near future but I’ll long for the day it can happen again, it was beautiful!
James and Meghan, thank you for sharing your day with me. I miss you guys and hope you’re enjoying parenthood. You’ll be the best parents.
