I really really do not know where to start with this one but here goes.
Holly and Matt are from Canada, but live in the US. Initially, when they got in touch, they talked pretty casually about being in Scotland travelling. They happened to stumble across Duns Castle and thought it would be a pretty cool place to have their wedding and so decided to bring over some friends and family and have a nice chilled wedding day. It all sounded lovely.
Then, closer to the day we arranged a skype call and from the instant we started chatting I knew I'd made friends for life. I felt an instant connection and we spent almost 2 hours chatting about all sorts. They told me they had arranged to do some clay pigeon shooting on the morning of the wedding and had also arranged some surprise fireworks for the end of the night. I agreed to arrive early and stay late to capture the day in its entirety and if truth be told, I thought it might end up feeling like a really long day with their being so few guests. I was wrong.
When I turned up it was like meeting old friends and the day was over in the blink of an eye. Everybody was just so happy to be at Duns Castle for Holly and Matts wedding. The full day was filled with laughing and happy tears and I loved every single minute of it.
Duns Castle is a pretty spectacular place and mixed with a nice summers day, you get the perfect mix of grand architecture and moody light with gorgeous colourful gardens giving you the absolute best of everything. We all spent the day laughing, crying and dancing and I couldn't feel luckier to be part of their day. It was definitely a highlight of the year!
I hope you enjoy these highlights :)
