I first met Marc in 1999. We were both fresh faced 16 year olds working in our local leisure centre for beer money. He was actually one the first people I met when I started. He had started working there a few months before me. It's bonkers to think that almost 20 years later, I'd be photographing his wedding. There's always something a little bit different about photographing a friends wedding. I suppose in some ways, it's a little more special and it's the best feeling when they trust me with such a task especially when they've seen me staggering about and eating a pizza crunch at 3am on a few occasions.
They chose to have the wedding at Kirknewton Stables. A blank canvas venue with gorgeous gardens, rustic buildings and stables lit by fairy lights galore. It's a truly stunning venue and the Lloyds certainly added their own little touches to really make it personal to them.
The weather was on the verge of raining all day and we couldn't have timed it better. We grabbed our family shots, couple time and the classic Confetti shot outside and as soon as bums were on seats for the speeches, the heavens opened. Perfect! It even brightened up after dinner for me to take them out for another few minutes when the light is just lovely.
This was a special one folks and I hope you enjoy looking through the highlights of their big day.
Marc & Lauren, you guys are amazing and pleasure to be around. Thanks for having me and Congratulations again.
