When it comes to breathtaking destination wedding venues, Cambo Estate in St. Andrews, Scotland, is truly a gem. Situated on the picturesque East Coast, this historic estate offers an enchanting backdrop for couples looking to tie the knot in the heart of Scotland. I had the incredible opportunity to photograph a beautiful wedding at Cambo Estate, where the stars of the day were the lovely couple, McKenna and Henry.
McKenna and Henry, an incredible couple from Boston in the United States, decided to embark on an unforgettable adventure by choosing Scotland as the destination for their wedding. Their choice was not only a testament to their love but also a celebration of their adventurous spirits. The beauty of Cambo Estate served as the perfect setting for their destination wedding.
Cambo Estate, a historic and elegant venue, provided an array of photography opportunities. It had been 5 years since my last visit to Cambo and from the moment I arrived, I was reminded of the charm of the estate. The pristine gardens, lush woodlands, and stunning architecture were a photographer's dream. Inside the estate, the stately rooms with ornate details and large windows allow for beautiful, natural light to come pouring in.
Although the venue was stunning, it was topped by McKenna and Henry's infectious personalities. You can’t help but fall in love with these two within minutes of meeting them. I met them last year for their engagement session and was instantly captivated by their laid-back and fun natures. A joy to be around.

Katie and Harry along with over 100 of their friends and family, made the trip from The US to celebrate in style. So much love and laughter, and one hell of a party!

I was so honoured to photograph their incredible day at The Byre at Inchyra. A classy barn venue in Perth.

Read MoreI’m geninely not sure I can find the words the describe my love for Michael and Kirsten and how grateful I am to have been their photographer for their wedding at the utter perfect, Engine Works in Glasgow.
Their day was one of the only 5 or 6 wedding days I’ve ever photographed where it rained pretty much the entire day, and not just that little wispy rain, real rain. However, did it matter one bit? No, these guys handled it like champs and had the best day with their family and friends. Speaking of that lot, they’re wild. You’ll see more of them as the blog post goes on.
I absolutely love this couple and can’t say enough good things about them and their wedding. Such an incredible day, in an incredible venue and with nothing but good vibes.
Thanks for having me along for the ride M+K. You’re the best!

Oh How I love Emma and James so much. If there was ever a couple who are just so perfect together, it’s them. Effortless! I was so happy to finally see these guys married after the C word put a halt to their original plans. They scaled things back as at the time, there were still some hefty restrictions in the way but did it dampen their spirits? Not a chance. They made the most of everything. They got ready separately within the grounds of Strathyrum Walled Gardens (their original wedding venue) before heading into the city to say their I do’s inside the impressive St Salvators Chapel then making the short trip to St Andrews Old Course Hotel to drink and be merry with their close group of friends and family.
Read MoreWhat an incredible wedding this was with Eilidh and Euan at Enterkine House in Ayrshire. It was my first time at Enterkine and I really loved their modern and rustic barn aesthetic. Such a lovely place to get married.
Eilidh was like an elegant goddess in her dress and cape (is it a cape? after 11 years in the industry you’d think I’d know). She looked absolutely incredible and it paired perfectly with her wild flower bouquet from Julie at A Curious Arrangement.

Photographing the best people in the best places, working alongside the best suppliers, and having the best time photographing the best time in people’s lives, it’s…the…BEST!
Claire and Cameron only booked their wedding back in February, and married by August. My diary was full but Claire’s vibrant personality was bursting through the email and I knew I’d be missing out on something special if I didn’t squeeze them in and boy, am I glad I did. It was truly EPIC and these guys were so laid back, fun, cool, happy, in the moment and embraced their day exactly how every couple should, it was incredibly special and I am so grateful to have documented their day.

Ailie and Nick got married at one of the most stunning and unique venues I’ve been to yet, Netherbyers House. An old gardeners retirement home (Niche, right?), bought over and renovated by 2 lovely and creative people, Mike and Sarah. They’ve turned the place into the perfect spot for a wedding and I have to say, I’m excited to get back there and shoot another wedding there. Such a special place.
Although the venue is special and a truly stunning place, the only thing even more special and stunning was my wonderful couple, Ailie and Nick. I actually booked them in late and I squeezed them into the packed out diary after they lost their original photographers due to a number of reasons and I’m so glad I did, as these 2 were an utter joy to both photograph and be around all day.
There are no 2 people more perfect for each other and seeing them married will stay with me forever. So lovely, so beautiful and so chilled. Just how I like it.
Thanks so much Ailie and Nick, for having me play a small role in such an incredible and speacial day. You are amazing!
Enjoy the pics!

irst blog post in 9 months! Woo!!!! I cannot think of a better wedding to kick things off than the wedding of Rachel and Sandy. My goodness, their wedding was INCREDIBLE!!!!! Rachel is Irish, Sandy is Scottish, and between them, they brought all the madness you’d expect from an Irish/Scottish Wedding. Nothing but good party/drinking vibes and I honestly don’t have the words to explain just how good it was being part of it. All I can say is that it was THE BEST!!!
They got married at the exclusive use venue, High Wards House, in Gartocharn, Alexandria. Such an amazing, feel good venue where you and your families can hang out for a few days on either side of the wedding. I love photographing here, it’s a little hidden gem.

So, I’m glad to be back with another fantastic wedding to show you guys. Today, we have Meghan and James. Meghan is from Houston, Texas. James is a good ol’ Scots boy and together they make a pretty sweet team. I also want to congratulate them on the birth of their new baby girl earlier this year! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Hold on to your butts folks! This is a good’n!
As a wedding photographer, I am so lucky to, not only witness the happiest days of people’s lives, but I get to visit places I would never have the chance to see if it wasn’t for being a wedding photographer. I’ve travelled the length and breadth of Scotland and welcomed inside some of the countries most beautiful private estates. I feel so grateful and I’m gutted that I’ve missed out on a lot of travelling in 2020 so looking back at this gorgeous private estate wedding in the highlands is getting me through nicely.
I introduce to you, Beetle and Luce. It’s genuinely hard to find the words to describe them but if I was to try, I’d say they are 2 of the kindest, sweetest, most easy going and generally lovely natured people and it was such a pleasure to spend the day with them on their wedding day.
For their wedding I drove over 500 miles as they got married on Beetles family estate at Ben More in the gorgeous Sutherland area of the Highlands. I nearly hit 1000 deer and driving in the dark up there is quite an experience.
