Ok so first off, this wedding was so good! Kirsty and Chris got in touch with me and instantly, I knew they were going to be fantastic to work with. After finally meeting with them, it was confirmed. One of the best parts about being a wedding photographer, is getting to spend the day documenting one of the most important days of people's lives and when the people you are photographing are so awesome and are, very obviously, having the best day...it makes it all the more sweeter.
With their wedding being at the end of March, I was slightly worried about the weather but luckily the Western House Hotel, Ayr is gorgeous so I knew whatever the weather, I would be able to get great pictures. The ceremony and reception room is a big open space with gorgeous natural light. I noticed each table place had a small flower pot, after asking Kirsty about it, she told me she sat for hours planting the flowers in the pots and each person could take them away as a favour. It's the personal touches like this that make wedding special.
Kirsty wore a stunning Bijoux Bridal Dress and complimented it with unique, Green Nina Shoes, Jewellery from Chisholm Hunter and Mitchell Diamonds (Argyle Arcade, Glasgow) a few spritz of Chanel perfume and a gorgeous Bouquet from Daisy & Rose Flowers.
Chris looked the dapper Scotsman with a Kilt from Glenisla Kilts.
A shout out to Vintage Kitchen Teas for the amazing cake and wedding band Replay for keeping people on the dance floor all night long!
Here are some highlights from the day :)
