When I sit down to write these blogs, I feel as though I am just repeating myself over and over. I type the first line, which is usually something like..."Man o' man this wedding was a beaut!" then I delete it and try to write something different. BUT, I am one lucky photographer and every wedding I document....is always a BEAUT!!!!!
So.....Man o' man this wedding was a beaut!!! Cat and Stuart booked me aaaages ago and we finally met last October for their engagement shoot where we took a wander around Chatelherault Country Park with their beautiful Golden Lab, Sonny! It was like taking a walk with a couple of pals and I knew that their wedding day was going to be super chill and full of good folks. I was right.
Kicking off the morning at Highwards House, I walked into bridal prep to see my pals Cat Robertson on Make up duties and Gillian (Pin Up Hair) on Hair. Instantly, my predictions were confirmed. With those ladies on Beauty Duty I knew everyone was going to be looking great and in feeling good. As I photographed the girls, my trusty 2nd shooter, David (David Ruff Photography) handled the lads prep. A stellar job done as always.
We headed through to Boturich Castle. This place is beautiful! The plan was for an outdoor ceremony, but Scotland had other plans. After holding off to the last second, the decision was made to bring the ceremony indoors and after the ceremony, the sun popped his hat on for all the guests to enjoy some drinks outside looking over the breath taking view that Boturich Castle boasts.
Cat and Stuart were pleasure to be around with a fantastic group of friends and family. 2017 has been an amazing year for weddings and it brings me a lot of happiness to bring another happy day for you all.
